The Moreau POTS Protocol (MPP™)
A structured, clinically guided approach to restoring autonomic function in patients with Post-Concussion Syndrome, POTS and Dysautonomia.
The Moreau POTS Protocol at NeuroSport
A Breakthrough in Personalized Concussion Recovery
Most patients with POTS are advised to increase fluids, salt intake, and activity. While these strategies may help, many continue to experience persistent symptoms because the underlying autonomic dysfunction has not been clearly defined or systematically addressed.
The Moreau POTS Protocol (MPP™) was developed to address this gap through a structured, physiology-based approach.
What Is the Moreau POTS Protocol?
Developed by renowned sports medicine expert Dr. Bill Moreau. The Moreau POTS Protocol is a clinically guided, exercise-based program designed to restore autonomic regulation through controlled physiologic demand. It integrates real-time monitoring and progressive loading to retrain the neurocardiac axis and improve functional capacity.
👉Learn About the Moreau POTS Protocol
What Makes the MPP Different
Real-time heart rate monitoring to guide intensity
Integration of dynamic and static cardiac demand
Structured progression based on physiologic response
Individualized protocols based on objective findings
Personalized Care That Adapts to You
No two patients are alike—and neither are their recovery journeys. The Moreau POTS Protocol is customized to your specific symptoms, history, and goals. It aims to reduce the often-debilitating effects of concussion-related dysregulation by using targeted, low-intensity exercise interventions proven to support autonomic and neurological function.
Precision-Guided Recovery
Each session is carefully supervised by skilled clinicians to ensure both safety and effectiveness. Beyond general physical rehabilitation, the protocol also addresses critical, often-overlooked elements such as oculomotor function—helping to restore vision-related neurological processing.
What to Expect During Your Protocol Experience
Your care begins with an in-depth intake visit lasting two to three hours. During this session, we conduct comprehensive assessments to determine your eligibility and design your individualized care plan.
If accepted into the program, follow-up treatment sessions typically last one hour. The plan is continuously refined based on your progress, with your well-being at the forefront of every decision.
Temporary symptom flares can occur during treatment progression.

Your Initial Evaluation
At your first visit, a comprehensive autonomic and neurologic evaluation is performed to define the underlying drivers of your symptoms.
This includes:
Detailed medical history and symptom analysis
Objective autonomic testing
Neurologic and functional assessment
Identification of contributing systems, including cervical spine and vascular regulation
Progression Through the MPP™
Patients typically begin with structured sessions designed to progressively challenge the autonomic nervous system.
Frequency: typically 2–3 sessions per week initially
Progression: based on physiologic response and tolerance
Adjustments: individualized based on symptoms and objective findings
Duration of Care
Because each individual’s condition and healing process is different, treatment timelines may vary. For many, recovery extends over several months. Our focus remains on your long-term success—never rushing the process, but always moving with purpose and precision.
